How does this option work? Are there any settings to control it?

Well, it would appear from my research that renewals are poorly handled in the system currently. As in, you pay for a listing and it lasts indefinitely, which isn't what everyone might want.

This is definitely a high-priority enhancement and will look to get it into 2.1.

Renewals are part of a basic system here, but the original author clearly didn't handle it, so we'll get on it.

Thank you! This is the perfect plugin if it would handle this issue. I need to have listings that expire and send an email warning that the listing will expire soon and another email to go out letting them know that the listing has expired providing they have not renewed/updated their listing. This would provide the perfect maintenence free listing solution that keeps the listings fresh. If the listings just go on forever then the list will become stale. Even if they just had to log in and click a "No Changes" button every so often it would help maintain the directory. Do you know when 2.1 or an update might be coming out that handles renewals?

The only solution that I have found so far that handles this renewal issue and sends two automated emails is directorypress. It handles the renewal process but it is not a plugin… It is a wp theme… Would love to have a plugin soulution that does not have to take over the whole site like the theme options…

Agreed. It shouldn't take long to fix it. Give us a bit and we'll get on it.

I think your plugin is fantastic.  However, it seems as if only registered/logged-in users can renew a listing.  They don't need to be registered/logged in to create the listing, so why do they need an account to renew it?

Forcing someone to register is just one more hindrance to making the sale.  And worse, listing owners are receiving renewal emails, but since they were never forced to register to create a listings, the renewal link takes them to a blank page.

Thanks for all your hard work,

Lucas

Hmmm.  I don't remember if we tested that aspect or not.  Let me check it out and see what we can do about it.
