I understand that the “main page” from which the search is done, is referred to as “Directory Page”.
Where can I edit the elements of the area in which the user inserts the search terms, and presses the button? I realise that from WP dashboard (I use Elementor) it is impossible to see/edit these elements, but how can I do it from the BD “directory”?
I actually want to make a very simple search form, similar to the search as in psychologytoday.com, plus to add “popular searches” links under it, and plus further “filters” on the side (such as adding additional categories to filter the results)
Is it possible to achieve it by using the standard features of the plugin, without coding?
Right now, we show a quick or basic search box on the main directory page and then there is an advanced search page that can be used to do a more filtered search. We also offer the search widget that can be placed on a sidebar.
While we do provide options inside BD settings to control behavior of these search tools, the enhancements/features that you’re asking for are not something that can be done without some direct customization. We have several options for customizing the look of the directory.
But if that’s not enough, you can go full-bore and customize anything in the plugin if you have the proper skill set: http://docs.businessdirectoryp…..ation.html
