I’ve created my categories, but when I go to the directory page and click on any of them, I get a 404 page. Not sure if this is related to the current category issue at hand that I have been reading about in other posts?
I can access any other part of the directory, its just when I click on the categories, it doesn’t find anything. Any help would definitely be appreciated!
By the way, your plugin is the best directory plugin I have seen. I’ve tried every one of them, and yours by far blows them all out of the way. Not sure if you have a donate section on your site, but this is one I would gladly donate to help continued support of this plugin.
Please test for a possible plugin conflict. Sounds more like what was happening for another user which turned out to be a conflict with another plugin. Unfortunately I can’t recall the plugin.
Also, try deleting your business directory pages and recreating them. Make sure before you re-create them that you don’t have copies in the trash.
I deleted the business directory pages and recreated them after they were fully removed from the trash and that didn’t work. I reset the permalink structure to default and than everything started working again. But when I changed it back to my custom structure, the business directory stopped working again. So something to do with the permalinks on that one plugin. Any work arounds or fixes you can think of?
My category slug was already set to “directory” I’m having the same problem.
My site is NashvilleParent.com/cms/
It’s the dev site… Anyone come up with a REAL solution for this problem? I’ve tried deactivating my plugins as well… no such luck. I’ve checked my page paths and everything matches. I did have to create the Directories page manually. Did anyone else have to do that?
In the plugin’s Manage Options section, I deleted the Category Slug and then saved… it rewrote the category slug to “wpbdm-category”. Then I didn’t get the 404 anymore… but my directory categories that had listings in them showed no listings were found in the category. I’ll keep trying to trouble-shoot. on my side until I get an official answer or there is an update to download for all the fixes.
Hey Brett, can you PM or email me credentials to see this first-hand on your site? That might help me fix it faster. Also, make sure you update to 2.0.1 first, although I don’t think this will help. Just keeping up with the latest so I know what I’m dealing with.
