The div class for the form field which is included ‘(as content)’ means that when you view it as a single listing, it’s calling my theme’s .content class and adding an unwanted background image – if I remove the .content class in developer tools it solves the problem but I can’t figure out how to make this permanent as it obviously isn’t changable in css?! Is there a way?
Hi Vintage Directory,
So, can you show me the CSS as shown for a form element on your site? I don’t think we actually add a .content class to the form fields. Our classes all start with WPBDM (wpbdm-[css element]).
What I’m seeing is <div class=”field-value wpbdp-field-upcomingevents&otherinfo content”>
You can see how it’s effecting the field by adding the background that’s used in my theme’s .content class here: http://www.thevintagedirectory…..hly-fayres
I’d got round it by inserting the same background into the ‘listing’ class so the extra bit disappears into the background but it’d be great if i could just get rid of it altogether!
Ah, I see what’s going on now.
The content class, along with meta, title and category, are standard WP classes that we inject into the appropriate field per the field configuration. So “Meta” fields have the meta class attached to them, “Category” fields have category, etc. That allows the theme CSS to pick up and handle the standard aspects of the directory fields.
Since that’s not exactly the style you wanted because your theme decided to do something for the content class you didn’t like, your handling of that was the right way to do it, I think.
