I want to show all texts in spanish. I’m using the ‘modern-business’ theme and the search results page is showing this: ‘Showing results 1 – 10 of 5368’. I have searched the text and seen it in the translation file under /wp-content/business-directory-theme/modern-business/languages/wpbdp-modern-business-es_ES.po. However, the translation is not being applied… The theme is active (theme license included).
Should I do something special to make the translation file work? Thank you!
Sorry to hear that. What version of WP and BD plugin do you have? Did you follow our instructions provided here https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/knowledge-base/translating-bd-other-language/ to translate the plugin?
The best way to check whether you have the correct file is to upload it to the directory we specify in our documentation and then change the language for the site, following all the instructions in there, and see if it works. If not, then you might need to verify that the language code you’re setting is the same as the one appended to the translation files.
Thank you for your advise. The documentation page you recommend me says the way to translate the plugin BDP if the user either prefers a different translation to the provided ones in the plugin or needs to translate the plugin into a language that has not been already supported/included in the provided translations. The point is that my site is in spanish, and automatically, the hole plugin BDP is correctly translated into spanish. That is fine. The issue is with the theme ‘Modern Business Theme’, an official theme for BDP content that I have installed.
The Business Directory Plugin installed version is 5.3.4, the Modern Business Theme’s is 1.0.3 and the WordPress’s is 4.9.8.
I have tried copying the tranlation files ‘wpbdp-modern-business-es_ES.po’ and ‘wpbdp-modern-business-es_ES.mo’ under ‘/wp-content/business-directory-theme/modern-business/languages’ into ‘/wp-content/languages/plugins/’, but it doesn’t work either.
Are there specific instructions to apply translations to an official BDP theme?

Sorry, but the website is owned by a client who is actually the owner of the plugin as well and he didn’t authored me to give you access to the admin page. Finally, I made those translations with CSS and JS, but it has been a patch. I needed to solve it quickly. My advise for you is to have a look on the working part of translations packed with BDP themes. In my case, as I said, they do noting.
Thank you for your help.
