Hi there, I’ve just run a couple of test purchases on my site and I’m concerned about two things.
1) When I apply a discount code, nothing on the page changes or displays to indicate that the discount has been applied.
2) When I complete the purchase, there’s no on screen confirmation, or success message, or option to set a page redirect. Other than the email that is sent, the user wouldn’t realize that their listing was actually purchased as the payment page just reloads blank. I’ve tried it with both using the Stripe box and a custom form, same results.
Is this intentional? Or have I missed something somewhere?
Sorry to hear about these issues. What version of WP and BD plugin do you have? And what is your Stripe module and Discount codes module version?
Do you have the “Put payment gateways in test mode?” option enabled in your BD payment settings? Also, do you have any “Thank you for payment message” defined in your payment settings?

Yes I was testing with Gateways in test mode (I was wondering if this might be why).
Yes I have a Thank you message enabled.
Well I was hoping that to be the case also, and I’ve now done a test to process a live listing and the same things are happening.
After applying a discount code, the price on the screen doesn’t change. And after processing the payment the page just refreshes with no Success message.
I recorded the process so that you can see what’s happening.
The payment does go through for the discounted amount, but on the front end the user would have no way of knowing that.

Okay, one mystery solved 🙂 I have the Direct Stripe plugin active on the site, when that’s deactivated the discount coupon works properly and displays on the screen prior to checkout and the after processing the payment, the site redirects to a Submission Received page with a copy of the receipt.
So there’s a conflict between the BDP Discount module plugin and the Direct Stripe plugin.
But, the custom success message I have set on the Payments tab hasn’t displayed on this page: https://monosnap.com/file/HAAi5BJCUwMTVgRWZBshH9aka4sVuG (it’s not down further on the page either).
I’ve deactivated all plugins (except for BDP ones), switched to the TwentySixteen theme, and flipped to live mode – the custom thank you message still hasn’t displayed anywhere:
I have now deactivated the rest of the BDP plugins that aren’t necessary, and still no change.
Seems that custom Thank you message just doesn’t want to be seen lol. Any thoughts?
