Hi, we are currently accepting listings and payments for 2020 and someone has just submitted a listing about an hour ago and paid through the PayPal module but it is not showing as Pending on the back end so that I can approve it. If I click on the link in the New Listing notification admin email it takes me to the listing but without a title (the email shows the title). This happened yesterday too but the listing showed up after about 20 minutes. Any idea why this is happening or whether I should wait a few hours for it to appear (not sure why it wouldn’t just appear straight away).
I could probably add the title to the edit listing page that I have got to via the email and publish it but there seems to be an issue so don’t want to just try and fudge a way round it.
We’re having the same issue as well as many other front-end issues. Have you tried submitting a listing lately? It may not be showing a thank you page like it should. We have been working on this for days and finally got it to work only when we unchecked the “Use a custom form instead of a “Stripe Checkout” button?” Not sure if you’re using Stripe, but we finally got one listing to show a thank you page and successful payment and to show as pending in the back end. I think there must be a bug, but we’re still working on it here: https://businessdirectoryplugin.com/support-forum/support-questions/cannot-submit-listings/ in case that helps you.
I believe we are able to submit the listing as the member has submitted it and paid for it and we have got the email confirming the new listing. The payment is also showing in Payment History with the correct title of the listing which, when you click on it, takes you to the listing but omits the title. We are using PayPal but there possibly is some connection with these problems so hopefully someone from support can jump on and take a look.
I’ve just created a test listing (just submitting it but not paying) and it does the same thing. This is quite urgent as we are coming up to the cut off date for applications and we always have a load at the last minute. I will see if I can save the genuine one with the correct title and see if it appears and will leave the test one I did for BD people to take a look at.
ETA: I was able to publish the ‘invisible’ one by going through the link in the email and adding in the title then hitting publish.
Thanks for the update. I would suggest you rule out any conflicts before we proceed further. Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue:
If that doesn’t help, please provide admin credentials and we’ll take a direct look ASAP. We need the following information to debug the issue:
– WP admin username
– WP admin password
– WP login URL
– FTP username
– FTP password
– FTP servername/IP address
