I have a business directory setup and we are getting bots signing up for the first page of our form.
The bots are able to click the “continue to payment” button at the bottom of the page, which actually still creates an account for the on wordpress wether or not the recaptcha has been filled out
You can test this, if you fill out all of the fields on the first page, don’t do the recaptcha, and then click on the continue to payment button, this will STILL create you an account even though you haven’t confirmed to being a human.
We are getting 20+ bot signups a day due to this loophole.
Can you please advise on how we can address/fix this issue?
Sorry to hear that. I would need a little more details:
– What exact version of WP and BD plugin do you have?
– Under BD Registration settings, which of the following options have you selected?
– Can you please send a screenshot of your reCAPTCHA settings page? (use http://imgur.com/)

Important to note, the recaptcha works fine and does check for bots on the wp-login pages
Yes, we want to have user accounts required for signup.
Thank you for any help
Thanks for this information. I’ve tried testing this on my end by leaving the reCaptcha unchecked and it throws an error on the front end:
and when I checked on the backend, no new user was created even though I did fill out the “account creation” form:
So I’m not able to reproduce this behavior on my end. Did I miss something?
Also, can you please try upgrading your BD plugin first and also send a screenshot of your Registration settings tab?
