We are trying to come up with a way where we can do a search by for two fields (State and Type of Breed). None of the other fields are necessary. Is there way to do this?

I think I know what you're asking, but let me check to be sure:
Do you want the ability to hide certain fields from the search form? All but the two you list above? Or are you asking for something else?

Ah. Right now, we can't do that. But I do agree that it would be valuable (and something we already support on our sister plugin, AWPCP). We'll look to add this in a future release.

Yes would also be nice to search a particular category by specifics i.e.(state, etc.)

That ability (filtering categories by state) will be available in the Regions module once released. The search form will be modified accordingly when it's installed.
