Running the modern business theme.
Need to add a background that is not transparent but don’t know where to find and modify the CSS specifically for the single view.
I also need to change the “title” window to not have a transparent background.
https://ivets.org/directory/directory_category/bob <— So you understand my problem.
For people who run websites without solid & high contrast backgrounds (a huge portion these days) transparent is the devil, your themes really shouldn’t include it as a design feature.
In the future updates would it be possible to get basic visual editing on the WP dashboard? I’m fine with modifying CSS, but your themes don’t really seem to have a consolidated CSS structure, requiring someone to reverse engineer the theme overrides to figure out which containers are what.
To add single view solid white background, add this to custom CSS override… this will only work for the Modern Business Theme.
/*** Add backgrounds to single view directory plugin content for Modern Business Theme***/
/*** End ***/
Still unable to find the line in the CSS file related to the heading area, will post up if I find it.
To fix the alternating transparent backgrounds in the default theme, which I moved back to until I get a better handle on BDPs structure, as well as fix the transparent background on single listings at the same time…
/*** Directory Plugin: Add backgrounds to list and single for Default theme ***/
/*** End ***/
Thanks for your comments here. FYI, we’re looking at a more serious revamp of the themes and visual display aspects this year, as they could be better than they are. “Basic visual editing” probably won’t happen because what is “basic” to you might be “too basic” to another, so we’ll provide a solid mechanism for overrides that can serve a wide variety of needs.
We appreciate your input!
