I’m having an issue sending Renewal Emails to members in the directory.
I have tried using WP Mail SMTP and Easy WP SMTP with WP Mail Logging. When I add a new WP User, the email is successfully sent, received and logged.
When I click on the “Send Renewal e-mail” button with a listing in BD, I see the notification “Renewal email sent.”.
However, the email is not logged and doesn’t show up in the email server mail delivery report.
I have also tried Post SMTP with integrated logging with similar results.
It seems that normal WP emails are going out just fine but the BD emails are not even getting far enough to appear in the logs.
I have reviewed the SMTP forum articles including https://awpcp.com/forum/faq/problems-with-email-and-awpcp/ with no success.

Sorry to hear that. You appear to be using an old version of BD plugin. Would it be possible for you to upgrade to the latest BD v5.5.11 and then test this again?
I would also recommend ruling out any conflicts. Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue:
I made an error reporting the software versions I am running. Here are the correct versions:
Business Directory Plugin: 5.5.11
Business Directory Plugin – PayPal Gateway Module: 5.0.4
Post SMTP: 2.0.6
I disabled all plugins then resent a renewal email. While the system says it went, it was not logged nor received.
Today, we had 2 members successfully renew their memberships online – Yeah!
The site Admin did receive emails for each renewal and they were logged.
This is indicating to me me that emails are going out but for some reason the renewal email is not.
Also, Yesterday at 9:06 a.m., this renewal email button worked for me. I then edited the template adding a few words and line spaces then the email button didn’t work.
Is my editing of the template related or a red herring?
What suggestions do you have?
