I have two categories of businesses in my directory: lodging and restaurants. When I filter the listings by category, the name of the first listing shows up above the search box, so it looks like that business name is the name of the page. Is there a way to remove that? Here’s a link to a filtered page so you can see what it looks like:
I know that my businesses will start a riot if it looks like we’re giving preference to one over the other!
Thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer.
Sorry to see you having this issue. What version of WP and BD do you have? I’ve checked the link you’ve provided and the problem seems to only with those categories that have more than one listings. And it looks like your theme might be the problem here. So I would suggest you do a conflict test first.
Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with Business Directory, which may help pinpoint the issue:
Not sure what it may yield, but its a good step to start troubleshooting with. Please let me know what you find.
Good to see you have pinpointed the issue to your theme. I would suggest that you inspect the page using Firebug or a similar tool to see how your theme is using the listing name as page title and then perhaps you can change the theme settings or customize it (using CSS) to fix the problem. You may use Firebug or Chrome Dev tools to inspect the right element. For assistance with Chrome inspect tool, please see the documentation here:
Or you may also contact your theme developer to see what they have to say about this problem. Let me know if they need any information from us for debugging this.
